First Tournament Of The Year

This was HSS Girls' Football team's second year taking part in this competition. Having the opportunity to pit their skills against opponents never fails to excite the girls. With the B Division tournament coming up, the girls could also know where they stand among other schools.

This year, the tournament was made interesting with the inclusion of teams from the primary schools such as Telok Kurau Pri. Sch and Yangzheng Pri. Sch! It was fun to see girls of much smaller sizes play football. In fact, some of them impressed us!

HSS got off to a slow start as the team played sluggishly. However, after the girls picked up the rhythm, they improved match after match.
The team improved this year by clinching one win out of the 4 first-round matches we played. The team narrowly missed qualifying for the quarterfinals due to goal difference. We would definitely need to work on our concentration right from the start of the match, so that we do not end up trying to chase the game.
